  • USA grown cotton
  • All pieces hand fringed

Product Description

These classic tablecloths in the traditional Homespun pattern feature a simple beauty which stems from their heritage - the Appalachian Mountain homes of early America. Loomed with the finest USA grown cotton and made in the mountains of Vermont, each tablecloth is individually cut and hand fringed, resulting in a top quality tablecovering suitable for any decor or occasion. Machine wash in cold water, line dry. IMPORTANT: Because of the natural fiber and weave, tablecloth WILL SHRINK about 5-6 percent with a cold water wash and line dry. With machine drying, expect about 10-12 percent shrinkage. Please keep this in mind when determining which size to order, see sizing chart or contact seller for assistance.

Roving down the Nam Ou between Muang Khua and Muang Ngoi Neua
We, degree reluctantly, left the luxury of the Muang La Resort to embark on the final part of our journey back to Luang Prabang. We drove to Muang Khua (about three hours) and picked up our prolonged tail boat which was to take us down the Nam Ou River. The Nam Ou is considerably smaller than the Mekong and there are a number of exciting rapids. As we travelled south, the scenery became increasingly spectacular with lofty limestone karsts, bamboo forested slopes and sheer cliffs. On our trip down we stopped at a village which weaves and sells the most exquisite scarves/tablecloths etc. Whilst there, we were invited to see the village library of "Big Brother Mouse" books for children in somebody's house. We were expecting to see rows of books but it was just a sad inconsiderable pile on the floor. We gave the owners of the library US$10 to expand the collection and the thanks we received was far more than the donation warranted! The husband of the lady in indictment of the programme...
